Background Dr Hector Henry Oyem is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Delta, Agbor, Delta State. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree in Chemistry from the then Edo State University, Ekpoma; a Master’s degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State; a Post-graduate Diploma in Science Education from the Delta State University, Abraka; and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, in Material (Nanoscience) Chemistry. He is a pioneer member of the Kaduna Capital (Secondary) School, Malali, Kaduna. He is a Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) scholar in the United Kingdom, and a European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students (ERASMUS) scholar in the United States. Dr Oyem is a lecturer and an avid researcher with several publications in both national and international journals. He is a member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and the American Chemical Society.
