Background EHIWARIO BLESSING CHIKA is a lecturer in the department of chemical sciences at the University of Delta, Delta State Nigeria. She was born on 4th June 1984. She is married with children. She is from Alihame in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. She obtained her master of science (M.Sc) in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Benin, Benin City. She also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.Ed) in Chemistry Education from Delta State University Abraka. Moreso, she holds a Nigeria certificate in Education (N.C.E) from the defunct college of Education, Agbor in the department of Biology/Chemistry. Prior to working as a lecturer in the University of Delta, she worked at the defunct college of Education at different capacities as a Clerical officer, Administrative officer, and senior technologist. Blessing’s research focuses essentially on how natural polymeric materials are used as an adsorbent for heavy metals. Some of her published works are: Monitoring indoor carbon-monoxide (CO) levels in Agbor, Delta State Nigeria to prevent high mortality rates from future pandemics, Comparism of the adsorption capacity of Chitosan and Cinnamaldehyde modified chitosan in the removal of Nickel and Cadmium from aqueous solution, minerals and proximate composition of Soya Beans, Phytochemical studies and GC-MS analysis of Chloroform extract of the leaves of Aspilla Africana, and fish spices richness and diversity in Omue stream Ovu-lnland, Ethiope East, Delta State. Her areas of interest are on the use of natural polymers in drugs delivery.
