Background Dumebi Dibie is a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Science at the University Of Delta, Delta state. She obtained her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biochemistry from the University Of Lagos. She also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biochemistry from Delta State University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the University Of Port Harcourt. Prior to working as a Lecturer at the University of Delta, she worked at the defunct College of education in different capacity as a Higher Technologist, Senior Technologist, and Principal Technologist. Dumebi’s research focuses on basically how food chemicals affect health and the general well-being of the human body especially. Some of her published research works are; The biochemistry of food allergy, Hyperglycemic Effect on Brain Cholinergic Functions, Oxidative Stress, and Protein Expression of Brain-Derived Neurotropic Factor (Bdnf) on Cognitive Functions in Streptozotocin Induced-Diabetic Rats. Her areas of interest are the biochemical effects of food, food chemicals, and drugs on the human body.
