Background Dr. ADU Matthew Eturhobore is a trained Medical Laboratory Scientist with specialization in Chemical Pathology/Clinical Biochemistry, Associate of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN) and Member Nigeria Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He obtained his Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma (2003), Master of Science (MSc) in Chemical Pathology from the then Rivers State University of Science and Technology now Rivers State University, Port – Harcourt (2014), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Laboratory Science (Chemical Pathology) from the famous University of Benin, Benin City (2017). He had his internship program at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City (2004/2005) and mandatory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) at the State Specialist Hospital, Ikole –Ekiti in 2005/2006 service year. Before joining the service of University of Delta, Agbor, he has worked with the Delta State Ministry of Health, Asaba, where he rose to the position of Assistant Director, Medical Laboratory Services. He is currently, Lecturer 1 in the department of Chemical Sciences (Biochemistry unit), Faculty of Sciences of University of Delta, Agbor. He is also an adjunct lecturer in the department of Medical Laboratory Science, Edwin Clark University, Kiagbodo, Delta State where he serves as the coordinator of the programme. He is a researcher with interest in metabolic diseases, immunochemistry, toxicology etc. Some of his research work can be accessed at google scholar, academia.edu, authoraid, Orcid and researchgate .net. According to AD scientific index ranking (2023), he is number one scientist in University of Delta, Agbor, Six thousand five hundred and seven in Nigeria, thirty two thousand and fifty eight in Africa and One million, two hundred and ninety seven thousand and sixty nine in the world with H index of 6.0 and i10 index of 2.0. He is happily married with four loving children. He is a Christian, loves teaching and hates oppression.
